Is now the time for contactless donations?

The idea of contactless donations has been growing for a few years now, and it seems that its time may have come. Contactless ‘terminals’ have been seen in the shape of traditional poppy tins, attached to guide dogs and as battery operated donation points that work over the mobile network.

One contactless terminal provider has just reported a huge increase in take-up and so it’s perhaps time for you to think how you could use contactless, especially as we start to plan for face to face fundraising events again.

Personally, I like the idea of a collecting tin that can accommodate cash as contactless, and of course you could have those designed to match your own branding.

Startup costs can be very low, so why not try it out and see how it performs?
