9% of donors holding back

If you don’t regularly look at CAF’s UK Giving insight, I would encourage you to do so. According to their research published last week, 4.9 million individuals chose not to make a one-off donation last month as a direct consequence of the cost of living crisis.

More than 3.2 million also said they had reduced or stopped a regular payment to charity, for the same reasons.

Every fundraising manager should be using these sorts of insights to influence their plans, and especially for those charities where budgets are currently being set for next year.
