Data Security incident trends

The ICO has just released the latest analysis of data security incidents reported to them.

Incidents where data is emailed, posted or faxed to the incorrect recipients is way ahead of every other type, accounting for 25% of the total. You can see the trends report at https://ico.org.uk/action-weve-taken/data-security-incident-trends/

Having just worked with a client on making this area much more secure, we are well aware of the risks and how to mitigate them.

If you would like to talk about how you can reduce the risks in your organisation from data sent to the wrong recipient (particularly email), you are welcome to get in touch in any of the normal ways, use https://zorva.info/about-us/contact-us/ or by booking a 20-minute insight call at https://zorva.info/free-insight-call/ (for TinoPai members, but it’s free to join, and you get lots of other benefits including free live and on-demand webinars).

Also, you can register for our free webinar on the NCSC cyber security guidelines for charities this Friday 25th November by visiting https://zorva.info/free-webinars/
