ICO issues guidance on sharing children’s data

The Information Commissioner, John Edwards, has made it clear that data protection law is not a barrier to sharing data to protect a child from harm.

Specific guidance for charities is being written as we speak, and the ICO is working with the Children’s Commissioner’s Office, but if your work involves children, then this video and blog is well worth your time.
