ChatGPT meets Office 365

Microsoft has announced that it will be adding ChatGPT-style functionality to Office 365 and, according to MS boss Satya Nadella, it will fundamentally change the way we work.

MS’s tool will be called Copilot and be based on the same language learning model as ChatGPT, and will be embedded into Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Suggestions are that it can be useful in creating presentations, drafting emails and analysing email threads.

As long as we have the choice of whether and when to enable it, this might be a good thing but I do wonder what the effects will be on people’s creativity?
