The Foundation for Social Improvement (“FSI”) is to close, due to funding issues.
FSI has recently partnered with the NCVO, to continue the work that the Small Charities Coalition was doing, before it closed in 2022.
According to a report in Civil Society at https://www.civilsociety.co.uk/news/small-charity-infrastructure-body-to-close-due-to-funding-constraints.html a statement from FSI trustees reads:
“It has proved increasingly challenging to balance delivering the training and support we provide to members with the funding received from the multiple streams pursued by the FSI’s leadership.
“We are extremely disappointed that yet another infrastructure charity must close at a time when supporting these organisations is so vital.
FSI was the charity behind Small Charity Week which reached almost 9,000 small charities, and we hope that something can be done to provide the support that small charities really do need.
