Principle 4: Accuracy

the fourth principle requires that the personal data we process is accurate. Moreover, we need to take active steps to:

ensure that the personal data is not incorrect or misleading
take reasonable steps to correct or erase the data, if we discover that it is incorrect or misleading
keep the personal data updated (although this may depend on the purpose of processing)

We must also be ready for any challenges to the accuracy of the personal data we hold, supported by evidence.
