UK government ID cards and the implications

The UK government is expected to announce digital ID cards for all working adults, but we already have other digital ID’s such as driving licences.

Your organisation probably already processes (collects, obtains, stores, uses, shared and retains) digital ID information, so are you doing it in a way that complies with the UK GDPR?

Remember that you can also book a free 25-minute chat to talk about this or any other issue, but a good starting point is to undertake a Data Protection Impact Assessment. The template can be freely downloaded from the ICO website at https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/uk-gdpr-guidance-and-resources/accountability-and-governance/data-protection-impact-assessments-dpias/how-do-we-do-a-dpia/#how2.

We can help with this too, so do get in touch.
