Are you tracking obsolete devices?

Following a report that Amazon is considering stopping support for Kindle devices more than 14 years old, it prompted us to wonder how you track your obsolete (or soon to be) laptops, desktops, smartphones and other devices?

We know that Windows 10 support will seemingly finally end this October, and you need to have signed up for the ESU (Extended Security Updates) service to receive them now. We also know that smartphones only receive security updates for so long, and the manufacturers websites will show you the status for your devices. And often both these events mean that new devices need to be purchased.

Rather than wait for a problem, do you have a register of devices showing when they need to be renewed? This can help with budgeting, and work scheduling for often overworked IT teams.
