In its latest newsletter, the ICO has set out its approach to AI, including work already underway and new things planned.
They suggest that this will include:
- An AI and ADM statutory code of practice.
- Practical guidance to help people to take informed decisions about how AI tools and services use their personal information.
- Data protection resources to support organisations, particularly SMEs and public bodies, to carry out appropriate due diligence when procuring “off the shelf” AI tools and services.
