If you are new to the term IoT, it stands for ‘Internet of Things’. This covers all those smart devices including TVs, air fryers, fitness trackers, cars, and even toasters that connect to the Internet and could be collecting your personal data.
According to the ICO, new research reveals only 1 in 7 people have a good understanding of how their smart devices collect and use their personal data, and yet almost everyone (97%) own at least one.
