The strain of AI-assisted complaints

We read a BBC Tech article recently at https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c2dk6wzjw23o that suggests a rising tide of complaints written with the help of AI are substantially increasing the workload of schools, local councils and other public bodies.

We are hearing this comment echoed by a number of charities, where AI-generated subject access requests can often run to 10 pages (and that’s just the request).

To manage these requests in the most efficient way, and without it disrupting other important work, it is even more important that you have a clear subject rights policy and people trained to use it.

A good starting point is the ICO guidance at https://ico.org.uk/for-organisations/uk-gdpr-guidance-and-resources/subject-access-requests/, and we can offer help on the specifics, often beginning with a free 25-minute Zoom call which you can book below.

If your policy needs refreshing, why not ask us to be involved in that too?
