The Chartered Institute of Fundraising (CIoF) has revised its guidance for those engaging with donors who may be in vulnerable circumstances. It reflects changes in good practice and legislation, including recent revisions to the Code of Fundraising Practice.
It covers how to treat special category data, for example relating to health, including examples of how to record this in your CRM. It also has recommendations for those responsible for charity governance and oversight.
The guidance is available at https://ciof.org.uk/library/resources/treating-donors-fairly-responding-to-the-needs-of-people-in-vulnerable-circumstances/.
