We suppose the first question is actually why would you bother? Well, it can help with the deluge of email that most of us receive, and to keep our identities private.
Email aliases can act as “fronts” to your main email address, and can help you to quickly filter less important emails, such as newsletter signups (not insights obviously!!!).
Email aliases are supported in Gmail, Outlook and Apple Mail, although they work in slightly different ways; for example, Outlook will not send from the alias, so do make sure it will do what you need and check with your IT provider.
We do not often cite Popular Science, but they have a good introductory guide which you can access using the link https://www.popsci.com/set-up-email-alias/
