The subject of a Generative AI policy has come up with a couple of clients in the past week, and so this is a gentle encouragement if you don’t already have one.
It is very likely that people in your organisation are already using Gen AI, and it’s unfair not offer them some guidance on what is OK and what is not.
Gen AI policies should not be complicated, as we don’t want to limit creativity, but you will immediately have some ideas about where the boundaries should be; so please document it.
Gen AI affects every area of your organisation. It’s not just a tech issue, or a governance issue, or a data protection issue, or a fundraising issue; though it concerns all of these.
