Now that the ICO’s consultation period has ended (we hope you all took part?) we are waiting for the ICO to release the final versions of their guidance, hoping that they have made some changes around third-party contact details and in other areas.
We hope to have news in next week’s insight newsletters, but as soon as things are finalised we plan to:
- Use the insight newsletters to let you know
- Offer our retainer clients a personal Zoom or Teams call to explain the changes and share guidance on possible responses
- Probably offer a free public webinar early in the new year
Meanwhile, we hope that you have discussed this internally and have a view on when you would not rely on charitable soft opt-in but stay with consent.
