As we reported a while ago, increasing numbers of people are switching from using search engines to AI tools. Search engines are countering this by showing AI overviews at the top of their results screens, but click-through rates to websites can be significantly lower.
So the challenge is for your organisation to be prominent in the answers that AI tools generate. Hence the interest in AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) as well as SEO (Search Engine Optimisation).
