We have just finished reading an interesting book on alternative perspectives on AI, and one thing particularly struck us.
It was suggested that we might think of AI as meaning ‘Apparent Intelligence’ rather than ‘Artificial Intelligence’. This then reframes a basic assertion over whether there is any intelligence there at all.
