Possible divergence with UK and EU data policy

We wait to hear how the UK government intends to change the UK GDPR in response to their ‘Data: A New Direction’ consultation, and that could be as soon as next week, I understand.

The ICO’s Information Commissioner John Edwards is on record as saying that the ICO would work in step with its European counterparts, but let’s see what the UK government decides.
