The Fundraising Regulator has just published its annual complaints report for 2020/21, and you can download a free copy here. The headlines are:
- 252% increase in complaints about online fundraising, but this reflects the move to online and does not seem to represent an increase in risk.
- Overall the type of complaints has not changed significantly, and the top issues are still charity bags, digital fundraising (donation pages, online, email and social media) and addressed mail.
- Good fundraising has prevailed as the number of complaints has declined overall.
