Gaming goes mainstream

For a while now, gaming has been growing as a fundraising channel, but it seems to be gaining ground quickly as high-profile charities use it.

Guide Dogs had a presence at the Insomnia Gaming Festival last week, and used the Tiltify platform to fundraise. You can see how they got on at https://tiltify.com/guide-dogs/guidedogsatinsomnia

Tiltify brand themselves as the #1 platform for livestream and digital fundraising, but others would make similar claims. However, if this is a new area you might look at their getting started guide and other help at https://info.tiltify.com/support/solutions/articles/43000641377-tiltify-getting-started-guide

If you are considering gaming as a new fundraising channel, you need to plan carefully and I would always recommend seeking guidance from the Code of Fundraising Practice, available on the Fundraising Regulator’s website at https://www.fundraisingregulator.org.uk/code
